CLASSIC BEEF STROGANOFF






Beef stroganoff is a classic recipe that never goes out of style, and this version is as easy as it is delicious.
Once you try this simple one pot beef stroganoff made with beef fillet you’ll realize this homestyle dinner doesn’t require anything fancy or expensive cuts of steak. It’s rich and classy comfort food you’ll want to make on repeat.





Ingredients:





  • Beef (fillet) 800 gm
  • Butter 100 gm
  • Onion (chopped) 50 gm
  • Cream 250 ml
  • Mushrooms (sliced) 200 gm
  • Lemon juice 5 lemon
  • Salt & Pepper according to taste
  • Parsley (chopped) for garnish




Method:





  • Cut the beef into strips.
  • Heat butter in a pan.
  • Add the beef strips, season with salt & pepper & allow to cook rapidly for a few seconds. The beef should be brown but well done.
  • Drain the beef into a colander.
  • Pour the butter back into the pan.
  • Add mushrooms & saute, add onion & cover with a lid & allow to cook gently until tender.
  • Add the cream & reduce by a quarter.
  • Add lemon juice in the beef strips don't re-boil.
  • Correct the seasoning.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley & serve.
